Hearing Aids Help PATF Borrower Gain Employment

Before purchasing her hearing aids with a PATF loan in the spring of 2003, Pat Leahy never would have believed she'd work with the public again. In fact, she was not sure she would be able to work again at all.

"Before I found out about PATF, my family was often annoyed with me because I couldn't hear and I didn't want to wear hearing aids," says Pat. Fortunately, her family convinced Pat she could afford the hearing aids with a PATF low-interest loan.

"I can hear and understand now. I was basically in the dark, or in the quiet world before," she says.

Pat feels this is one of the best things that have happened to her. Aside from the "very reasonable PATF rate," Pat says the hearing aids helped her get a job. She explains, "My job is great. I even work with the public. I never thought I'd be able to do that."

It's been 4 or 5 years since she purchased the hearing aids, and Pat says they still work fine. However, she won't hesitate to replace them when the time comes. Regarding the PATF application process, Pat says, "It was easy. Very simple. We had our answer within a few days. I couldn't ask for a better way."
